Santa Rosalia Mar Y Sol is an apartment located in the Santa Rosalia Lake & Life Resort.This resort has the largest artificial lake in Europe with several beaches and sports facilities such as tennis and paddle courts, midget golf and a gym.

Santa Rosalia - the Lake
The El Mirador residence is part of the Santa Rosalia Lake & Life resort, which is hosting a number of communities.
In total, the resort is developed to host about 1.300 residential units, some will be apartments, while others will be houses/villas.
Central attraction and eyecatcher of the resort is the 17.000 m2 artifical lake, which is surounded by an artifical beach and providing opportunities to swim, kayak, stand-up-paddle etc. The swimming area is guarded by life-guards and to allow kids to safely swim, the bottom of the lake is evolving smoothly. To give an idea of the size of the lake, its estimated to be about 200m in length, not heated.
Parasols are providing protection from the sun and the nearby bar/restaurant is offering space to refresh with drinks and snacks.
On the resort, you can find a number of entertainment facilities like tabletennis, basketball courts, tennis courts, kids playgrounds,...
Behind the restaurant there is a fitness room, which is accessible to our guests by wearing a wristband.

- Santa Rosalia Lake & Life Resort is 24/7 monitored and protected by security guards.
- The El Mirador residence has its own secure entrance gate, within which a numbered private parking space is available. Outside of this, there is ample public parking around the resort.
- The resort hosts a multitude of public containers to collect household waste. Please separate paper, plastic and glass from the rest.
- All entertainment facilities accessible by wearing the Santa Rosalia wristbands (4 per apartment) are included for our guests. All other paying facilities are at the expense of our guests.
- The Santa Rosalia Lake & Life Resort has its own network of roads and hiking trails, which are also accesible to disabled people.
- A walk around the lake is said to be about 4kms in length and takes you to the various corners of the resort.
- Centrally, one can find restaurant/bar La Reserva, which offers excellent food and drinks at any time of the day.
- Plans exist to extend the resort facilities with shops of various kinds and a supermarket closeby the resort.
- A gas station is located right outside of the resort.
- There are many supermarkets to be found in the town of Los Alcazares, or Torre-Pacheco.
Los Alcazares area
The beach is only a walk away and typically takes you 10 to 15 mins. You can walk like 5 kms around the coastline and back.
Same is true for the first restaurants, closeby supermarket and shops.
Another great advantage of Los Alcazares is that we have a large and accessible/flat coastline, which is beneficial for all people.
In some parts of Spain, the coastline is rough and small beaches are separated by rock formations, making it less accessible.
Larger supermarkets of the famous brands are located on the other side of Los Alcazares, which is a 10 mins drive.
Restaurants, bars, pubs etc can be found in various places all over Los Alcazares.
Interested in some real shopping? In 30 mins you're at La Zenia shopping mall, located in Orihuela Costa.
Want to visit some cities with a legacy, you can think of visiting Murcia and Cartagena, both accessible within 1 hrs drive.

Mar Menor - La Manga
Los Alcazares Mar Y Sol is located just outside the city/village of Los Alcazares, on a newly developed area destined to host a number of houses/villas. The area is very close to La Serena golf resort. If you're a golfer, mind the other 15 golf resorts in the larger area!
Los Alcazares is small city or perhaps even just a village of 20.000 people, located at the Mar Menor, providing a micro climate.
Mar Menor is a secluded part of the sea, based on a embankment in the sea.
This ensures calm water and a gently sloping coastline, which is ideal for children or less good swimmers to still enjoy the sea. Restaurants, bars, a few hotels, you will find it all on a small scale. Mass tourism has not yet settled here and we are very happy about that.
The village centre of Los Alcazares offers space for numerous murals that decorate the streetscape. In this village centre you can also find a lot of entertainment, which creates a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Enjoyment is central here. In South America they would say: Pura Vida!

- Las Terrazas de la Torre is a fine location close to the town of Roldan.
The region is also known for the Nicklaus Golf Trail.

Hello, we are Geert & Sehra, a Belgian/Dutch couple, with a pronounced love for the Spanish sun!
Our Spanish adventure started at the end of 2023 with a spontaneous visit to the Costa Cálida. The proximity of several golf resorts and the microclimate of Mar Menor made us dream of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Enjoyment is our motto, and where better to do that than under the Spanish sun, with a delicious sangria, tapas and the warm personality of the Spaniards.

Geert’s place was perfect for what we needed. Santa Rosalia Lake Resort is stunning, but the apartment was also beautifully appointed, modern and comfortable.
He was a responsive host which was great too.
